Procedure
Check before use
- Check the box and make sure that the opening-perforation is untouched and complete.
- Check that all the kit components have the same unique ID-Number.
Proceed
- Open the box by tearing off the perforation of the box.
- Take the containers and caps out.
- Once the blood is collected, place the barcoded label on the tube.
- Place the tube with the collected blood in the A- and B-container.
- Take the red cap and close the red-labeled container by turning clockwise. Proceed with the blue cap the same way.
- Check that the lines on the cap and bottle are aligned. Double check if it is sealed by turning the cap counterclockwise.
- Use the watertight bags for shipment to the laboratory. Place each container in one bag and close the bag by tearing off the white liner on top and press it firmly.
- Place the packed kit in a prepared cool box / if wanted, you can re-use the cardboard box.
Temperature control
To monitor the temperature from packaging until arrival to the laboratory, you may use the Libero CL or Libero CS.
